Wando High School football

Wando plays high school football in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina.

Coming soon

South Carolina is coming to Hometown Line

You’re in the right place, and the whole site is open to you. We only show scores a state’s association lets us read and credit, and South Carolina’s aren’t readable yet. Here’s how Wando gets on, and how to play in the meantime.

Play this Friday anyway

Every game on the board is open to you, in any state. Call the week’s biggest games, or follow a state next door.

Getting Wando on the site

South Carolina isn’t published yet. The SCHSL's scores are a MaxPreps widget, which we do not use, and it has not published a composite schedule this season.

In the meantime, a coach, athletic director or team manager can put a school’s season on the site through the Team Desk, and the letter below still asks them to publish.

Ask them

Write to South Carolina High School League or your school's athletic director. Address it to the association’s office or your athletic director — the contact page on their site has it.

Subject: Schedules and scores for South Carolina high-school football

Dear South Carolina High School League,

I am a fan of Wando. I follow the season on Hometown Line (hometownline.com), a free game of skill and prediction for high-school football. There is no money in it: readers predict results and are scored on how well they read the games.

South Carolina is not on the site yet because South Carolina High School League does not publish schedules and scores of its own; they sit on a third-party scoreboard whose terms allow no reuse. I am writing to ask that South Carolina High School League publish its schedules and scores itself, or as a feed, so that any site may read and credit them. Hometown Line credits South Carolina High School League on every game.

Thank you for considering it.

Yours sincerely,
A supporter of Wando

Wando has no article this project could find, so what is above is only what it knows: the state, a size band, and how that state labels it. All of it is real. Hometown Line also runs a scoring model over South Carolina high school football. Every prediction it makes is the model’s own. Where South Carolina publishes a schedule the site may read, the games ahead are that schedule; where it does not, the fixtures ahead are generated so the model has something to predict. A result is shown only where its source is named.
