Artesia High School football

Artesia is a large school in New Mexico.

Coming soon

New Mexico is coming to Hometown Line

You’re in the right place, and the whole site is open to you. We only show scores a state’s association lets us read and credit, and New Mexico’s aren’t readable yet. Here’s how Artesia gets on, and how to play in the meantime.

Play this Friday anyway

Every game on the board is open to you, in any state. Call the week’s biggest games, or follow a state next door.

Getting Artesia on the site

New Mexico isn’t published yet. The NMAA's schedules, scores and standings are MaxPreps widgets, which we do not use; its own weekly posts list some finals but not who was at home.

In the meantime, a coach, athletic director or team manager can put a school’s season on the site through the Team Desk, and the letter below still asks them to publish.

Ask them

Write to New Mexico Activities Association or your school's athletic director. Address it to the association’s office or your athletic director — the contact page on their site has it.

Subject: Schedules and scores for New Mexico high-school football

Dear New Mexico Activities Association,

I am a fan of Artesia. I follow the season on Hometown Line (hometownline.com), a free game of skill and prediction for high-school football. There is no money in it: readers predict results and are scored on how well they read the games.

New Mexico is not on the site yet because New Mexico Activities Association does not publish schedules and scores of its own; they sit on a third-party scoreboard whose terms allow no reuse. I am writing to ask that New Mexico Activities Association publish its schedules and scores itself, or as a feed, so that any site may read and credit them. Hometown Line credits New Mexico Activities Association on every game.

Thank you for considering it.

Yours sincerely,
A supporter of Artesia

Counted from the school’s own article, which lists people notable enough to have been written up. A programme with none has not produced none.

Everything above comes from Artesia’s own article — except the few lines that name a different one — and is real. Hometown Line also runs a scoring model over New Mexico high school football. Every prediction it makes is the model’s own. Where New Mexico publishes a schedule the site may read, the games ahead are that schedule; where it does not, the fixtures ahead are generated so the model has something to predict. A result is shown only where its source is named.
