Rocky Mountain High School football

Rocky Mountain plays high school football in Idaho.

Coming soon

Idaho is coming to Hometown Line

You’re in the right place, and the whole site is open to you. We only show scores a state’s association lets us read and credit, and Idaho’s aren’t readable yet. Here’s how Rocky Mountain gets on, and how to play in the meantime.

Play this Friday anyway

Every game on the board is open to you, in any state. Call the week’s biggest games, or follow a state next door.

Getting Rocky Mountain on the site

Idaho isn’t published yet. The IDHSAA records every schedule and score on MaxPreps, which we do not use; its own site has bracket PDFs only.

In the meantime, a coach, athletic director or team manager can put a school’s season on the site through the Team Desk, and the letter below still asks them to publish.

Ask them

Write to Idaho High School Activities Association or your school's athletic director. Address it to the association’s office or your athletic director — the contact page on their site has it.

Subject: Schedules and scores for Idaho high-school football

Dear Idaho High School Activities Association,

I am a fan of Rocky Mountain. I follow the season on Hometown Line (hometownline.com), a free game of skill and prediction for high-school football. There is no money in it: readers predict results and are scored on how well they read the games.

Idaho is not on the site yet because Idaho High School Activities Association does not publish schedules and scores of its own; they sit on a third-party scoreboard whose terms allow no reuse. I am writing to ask that Idaho High School Activities Association publish its schedules and scores itself, or as a feed, so that any site may read and credit them. Hometown Line credits Idaho High School Activities Association on every game.

Thank you for considering it.

Yours sincerely,
A supporter of Rocky Mountain

Everything above comes from Rocky Mountain’s own article — except the few lines that name a different one — and is real. Hometown Line also runs a scoring model over Idaho high school football. Every prediction it makes is the model’s own. Where Idaho publishes a schedule the site may read, the games ahead are that schedule; where it does not, the fixtures ahead are generated so the model has something to predict. A result is shown only where its source is named.
