Kenai Central High School football

Kenai Central plays high school football in Alaska.

Coming soon

Alaska is coming to Hometown Line

You’re in the right place, and the whole site is open to you. We only show scores a state’s association lets us read and credit, and Alaska’s aren’t readable yet. Here’s how Kenai Central gets on, and how to play in the meantime.

Play this Friday anyway

Every game on the board is open to you, in any state. Call the week’s biggest games, or follow a state next door.

Getting Kenai Central on the site

Alaska isn’t published yet. Alaska's schools enter schedules and scores into MaxPreps, which we do not use; the ASAA's own scores page is powered by it.

In the meantime, a coach, athletic director or team manager can put a school’s season on the site through the Team Desk, and the letter below still asks them to publish.

Ask them

Write to Alaska School Activities Association or your school's athletic director. Address it to the association’s office or your athletic director — the contact page on their site has it.

Subject: Schedules and scores for Alaska high-school football

Dear Alaska School Activities Association,

I am a fan of Kenai Central. I follow the season on Hometown Line (hometownline.com), a free game of skill and prediction for high-school football. There is no money in it: readers predict results and are scored on how well they read the games.

Alaska is not on the site yet because Alaska School Activities Association does not publish schedules and scores of its own; they sit on a third-party scoreboard whose terms allow no reuse. I am writing to ask that Alaska School Activities Association publish its schedules and scores itself, or as a feed, so that any site may read and credit them. Hometown Line credits Alaska School Activities Association on every game.

Thank you for considering it.

Yours sincerely,
A supporter of Kenai Central

Everything above comes from Kenai Central’s own article — except the few lines that name a different one — and is real. Hometown Line also runs a scoring model over Alaska high school football. Every prediction it makes is the model’s own. Where Alaska publishes a schedule the site may read, the games ahead are that schedule; where it does not, the fixtures ahead are generated so the model has something to predict. A result is shown only where its source is named.
